            A:  If you are speaking about a rolling door like in self storage units then no. It requires a different model that is dealer only available and has a sprocket that mounts to a add on sprocket on the rolling door

                        A:  Following all codes and being technical then no. With that said, mine has been on a 25 extension cord for years. I am a garage door and opener installer 27 years and have seen hundreds of openers over the years that have used extension cords.

                          A:  It would not be approved by UL. You should get an outlet installed within 6' of the opener.
