Q:Will this be too much for a 600 sq ft A-Frame if we run it on low? Would you see any issue placing in corner with appropriate clearances and then venting straight up through the A-Frame roof which will be within height tolerances or would you recommend venting out the side of the A-Frame wall with an external vertical pipe? We are at 6800 elevation in a well insulated A-Frame with new dual-glazed windows. Reading some reviews I am now worried this will be overkill for heating but my wife loves the look of this one.

Answer This Question

A:  most pellet stoves produce enough heat even on low for 1200 square feet. Our stoves have ECO that if you set the temp to say 70 it will turn off as to not overheat the space. The unit will stay off until it drops 3 degrees in the room below set temp and turn back on.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Based on our stoves performance a 40lb bag will last 8 hours if the stove is set on manual and at a level 3 or less heat setting. Obviously, if the stove is being controlled by a thermostat you may be able to extend your time at a higher heat setting.

A:  It uses more pellets than our previous stove and even when it has pellets in it if they fall below a certain level it goes out. I would say 8 hours on a fill would be pushing it.
