Q:how long does this take to heat a room? I'm asking because it states it heats "gently" so I'm wondering if it will take a while to provide enough heat for animals not sitting right in front of it pretty quickly after it's turned on.

A: It would depend on the size of the room... But I would definitely say it will take a while to heat up an average-sized open room. It provides radiant heat, so I use mine in an enclosed 5'x4' chicken coop. Although it is warmest right next to the heater, it does keep the space plenty warm for the outdoor cats in the wintertime! The added peace of mind knowing that the heater can lay directly on hay without being a fire hazard, along with the metal wrapped cord to prevent chewing from critters is the reason I bought this!! I would highly recommend this heater for use in a smaller space!

A: Cozy Pet Warmer primarily uses radiant heating technology which is the transfer of heat from one object to another. In other words, warmth comes from being in very close proximity to the heated panel. Cozy Pet Warmer is not designed to heat an entire room or space – it is instead meant to warm any animal who sits/stands right next to it.

A: It can get hot to the touch - Your pets will not get burned as they are smart animals and they know how close to get to the unit. Have not had any incidents of them getting burned.

A: Mine was great , until it suddenly stopped working 2 months after purchase. I loved it and it was so safe for our little kitty . It does have a chew guard around cord , but a large dog could probably get to cord , use caution and maybe tape this down. But again ours is completely dead at this point??

A: I’m not sure what material the front face (the part that gets hot) of the heater is, but the back section feels like a solid plastic material (and doesn’t get hot). It will only warm
Up the area very close to it, but it’s perfect if you plan to place it near a pet bed. It just gives that extra bit of radiant heat to warm up a pet that is lying close to it. Don’t expect it to warm up a room of any size.

A: The Cozy Pet Warmer is made of ABS and the front part of it which gets hot is made of steel. This product is not meant to heat any room or space. Here is the application of this item which is written on our website www.cozyproducts.com :

Cozy Legs® is not designed to heat an entire room or space – it is instead meant to warm any person who sits/stands right next to it. This is advantageous for areas with people who prefer different temperatures.
