A better alternative would be our ALEX FLEX Spackling. A:  No, it won’t hold a screw with much weight on it. One trick you can use is to hammer in either a dow or a plastic wall anchor into the worn hole and cut it off flush, then put your screw in.

If the product has thickened, it can be restored to its original consistency by adding a few drops of warm water and mixing/blending it in thoroughly. A:  If you put the top on tight and store it in a climate control area, it will never dry out. I have a five year old tub, of this stuff, I used today and it's still good.

DAP does not recommend this product or other similar wood filler products we offer for large or deep wood rot repair applications. For these type of more extensive/complex repairs, the use of two component wood repair epoxies and their accessory primers would be recommended. A:  Without seeing how much damage you have on the bottom of the door, I could not even guess. I used it more like a filler on plywood, much like a spackling compound, not as a filler of a large area.

Larger and deeper holes may require more than one application. For larger and deeper holes, apply thin layers to build up thick sections. Allow wood filler to dry before applying next layer. Allow to dry thoroughly before sanding: approximately 2 to 6 hours for shallow fills up to 1/8” and 36 hours for deeper fills 1/4” and over. Sand with medium sandpaper. May be painted with latex-based paint immediately after sanding, or after 12 hours if using an oil-based paint. Exterior applications and applications subject to water exposure must be sealed with a waterproof coating."
