    A:  My mounting plate is 6 3/8" x 7 3/4"

    by|Nov 1, 2019

A:  I mounted mine to the ceiling in the barn. Sorry, but I do not have the exact dimensions. There is a template included in the box for mounting. But it is heavy. You need to hit some wood when mounting it. I have mine mounted to a 2x12 that is screwed into the floor joists above.

A:  Everything I read said that it will not hold 100'. It is pretty full with the 50' already attached.

      by|Oct 9, 2019

A:  The reel is for 50 feet of hose. 100 feet is twice as many as 50 feet. It don't work.

      by|Sep 27, 2019

A:  This hose reel would not fit 100' of 3/8" hose on it.

A:  NPT is a type of pipe thread specification: "National Pipe Thread" and is American standard taper. The tapered thread helps to create a good seal between the threads as the pipe fittings are tightened together.

A:  The lead-in hose has one swivel end. The hose is four feet long. Be aware that the swivel end is very restrictive and has a tiny 11/64" diameter to pass air flow. I cut it off and replaced it with a 3/8" hose barb and hose clamp to provide better air flow. For comparison, the non swivel end is about 0.27" in diameter (just over 1/4" ID).

A:  Not exactly swivel, but one end is fixed and the other spins. You attach the fixed end to the reel and the other end allows you to attach it to the hose without having to keep spinning the hose around.

                                    A:  1/4 NPT at both.

                                    by|Sep 27, 2019

A:  Although the hose is 3/8", the fittings (both in and out) are standard 1/4" NPT. Most couplers and plugs are standardized for the 1/4" fittings. Use V-style high flow fittings to maximize the air flow. The Husky and Milton high flow fittings are compatible.
