Questions and Answers for DEWALT FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 16in. Brushless Cordless Battery Powered Chainsaw (Tool Only)

A:  I bought this as tool only, but had Flexvolt batteries that use the DCB118 charger (Approx. $75) that is listed as a 20V/60V Fast Charger. It works to charge the Flexvolt batteries fairly quickly. As Far as I can tell, the charger does not charge at 60 volts but rather 3 sections of 20 Volt batteries (The main reason it is called a Flexvolt, can be stacked in series internally for 3 times the voltage but only the current of each 20 volt section). I have had problems with the "switch" from 20 to 60 volts, it can stick (bad circuitry) which will affect the chargeability. Also, check Amazon for the many reviews of this trimmer, good discussions of battery problems as well as replacement line heads,etc.

A:  Yes, all DEWALT 20V batteries and all DEWALT 20V tools are compatible.

A:  The 60v attachment capable trimmer has the ability to use other attachments such as a brush cutter or chain saw or hedge trimmer, etc.     it supports the industry standard click link attachments.   The 20v trimmer has a fixed head and can not accept any attachments 

A:  Attachment capable trimmers can separate in the middle and you can add different attachments like edgers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers. Some other manufacturers call this style “power head” trimmers, but whatever you call it, it’s a pretty handy way to have multiple tools for less money and bulk. 

A:  You can add other attachments…. Like a pole saw, leaf blower, etc instead of the trimmer head. 

A:  It all depends how much are you gonna be trimming and how thick is the grass . I heve .40 acres, I use the LOW setting and is enough to do around my house, fence and trees. I had it for over two years now and I love, plus all the attachments you can buy and the attachments don’t have to be Dewalt. You can buy Ryobi and they work fine and cheaper

A:  The battery lasts about 20 minutes.

A:  Battery run time may vary depending upon factors including but not limited to charging conditions, usage of tool, storage, environmental conditions, age, etc. Because of these factors, (DEWALT is unable to provide a run time.

A:  Battery operated tools do not offer HP. The power is rated as VOLTS. This unit is a 60 Volt and the specification offered is Chain Speed (mps) 15.24.

A:  9 ah at 20 volts and 3ah at 60 volts

A:  We apologize for all the inconvenience. The battery DCB609 used in a 60V DEWAL tools will run as a 3 Ah/Amps battery. The DCB609 battery used in 20V DEWALT tools will run as 9 Ah/Amps.

A:  IT'S 3 AMP HOURS AT 60 VOLTS, AND 9 AMP HOURS AT 20 VOLTS!

A:  This is a flexvolt battery (dual voltage), so at 20V, it is a 9AH battery. At 60V, it is a 3AH battery. The description is listed for 60V @ 3AH

A:  I currently use a FLEXVOLT 9AH, 20V/60V battery for my DEWALT 60V MAX 16in. Cordless Chainsaw. I'm not sure if this is the largest battery, but it works great!

A:  You will not be able to use the 6ah battery. The 9ah is the minimum size.

A:  The saw will accommodate the largest size which is currently DCB615 (15AH)
