A:  This small angle grinder is manufactured in China.

A:  According to Dewalt’s website, yes they are backward and forward compatible. The only thing you’ll run in to is the flexvolt tools will have less power with the 20Max batteries (also stated on their website). I have both setups and swap back and forth all the time (usually using the 60’s in the older Max tools b/c the battery lasts so much longer).

A:  Don’t listen to Zman. You can’t use 20v batteries in a 60v tool. You can use the flexvolt batteries in a 20v tool. You can not use a 20v in a flexvolt tool(60v). Don’t confuse this with FlexVolt Advantage. FlexVolt Advantage tools are 20v tools.

A:  The serial number is generally located on the label with the model number.

Yes, you can use a cutting wheel with this grinder. : Edge grinding and cutting can be performed with Type 27 wheels designed and specified for this purpose; 1/4" (6.35 mm) thick wheels are designed for surface grinding while thinner Type 27 wheels need to be examined for the manufacturer's label to see if they can be used for surface grinding or only edge grinding/cutting. A Type 1/41 guard must be used for any wheel where surface grinding is forbidden. Cutting can also be performed by using a Type 1/41 wheel and a Type 1/41 guard. Best Regards Sherri C DEWALT

It is advised to look at all of the information about dust including warnings and precautions in the instruction manual for the grinder. A:  Hello and thank you for your question. The model DCG418X2 has a trigger switch and lock off lever. To turn the tool on, push the lock-off lever toward the back of the tool, then depress the trigger switch. The tool will run while the switch is depressed.
