A: DIG's 100 feet 1/2" poly drip tubing with .700 OD model B36 weight is 4.1+-5% lb and 500 feet model B37 is 20.8+-5%. DIG
A: Hi Roger, Well 500 ft roll is right around 25 pounds so would be about 5 pounds for a 100 ft roll Hope that is what you were looking for
A: It's 500 feet of tubing?
A: The answer is yes and no. While a 25 psi regulator is recommended so you don't blow off your flag drippers you can also regulate the pressure with the valve on top of your irrigation valve.
A: You definitely need the pressure reducer, if you are running at house water pressure. But it won't (typically) be the tubing that fails - - instead, some emitters will pop out.
A: If used for drip irrigation, is is highly recommended to use a pressure regulator. Without a pressure regulator you will have all kind of issues related to the high pressure in drip system. See a link about pressure regulator in drip system: https://www.digcorp.com/selecting-a-pressure-regulator. DIG
A: If water pressure is greater than 80 PSI, yes. But, the little Dig inline pressure regulators are worthless. They might last through a summer.
A: yes, you need to get the 25 psi regulator. The 1/2 in tube will NOT break under the regular house pressure, but the little 1/4 hoses that feed the plants may pop off under those higher pressures. We have two of these systems (front and back) with the 25psi regulators on both with timers, 1/2 tubes and 1/4 rubber drip and it works very very well even at the end of a 100ft run.
A: We recommend up to 220 gallon per hour on DIG 1/2 in. drip tubing. Divide by 2 for a total of 110, 2 GPH drip emitters. DIG
A: 13 GPM x 60 = 780 GPH and divide by two I imagine would give "how many". Seems to me you have plenty of pressure. But why so many?
A: Hey there EC. First you water pressure is 80-psi? that is very very high, you plumbing will in the future have problems, check with a plumber. You can use drippers on the line without a pressure reducer as you will be blowing the drippers off the pipe. I use mostly 1-GPM drippers and on a 200ft run have had over 100 drippers. So you can just do as you want sure will work if not getting the water you want just up the on time.
A: DIG drip tubing model # B35 for 50 feet, B36 for 100 feet , B39 for 200 feet and B37 for 500 feet are with .600 ID x .700 OD (15.24 mm ID x 17.78 mm OD) DIG
A: Hi there Jayski. O.D. of the tubing is .0700" or I measured it is right at 5/8"
A: .700 is the OD as stated......
A: Hey there MRS. Don't know if this is the right pipe for drinking water as would need to be PBA free. Think a safer way would be to use PEX pipe that is made for home piping and is drinking water safe. This tubing is made for watering plants outside not for use in homes. Guess you could hook up and have the water tested but I would not take the chance. Home Depot cares SharkBite 1/2 in. x 100 ft. Blue PEX Pipe Model # U860B100 Internet #202033010 Store SKU #353392 Store SO SKU #1000470096 and is $28.52 then you would need fitting also and HD cares them, some you Model # U860B100 Internet #202033010 Store SKU #353392 Store SO SKU #1000470096 some you don't need special tools to install
A: Yes, DIG
A: I would not use this for drinking water. You need PVC or HDPE that is rated for potable water systems.
A: No and not practicle This is made for drip irrigation
A: Anthony - i would not use this tubing for that purpose. Most irrigation / sprinkler systems use 3/4 in PVC piping...this tubing is not durable enough for that. Also, it is recommended to use a regulator to limit water pressure to 25psi. Water pressure in an irrigation system can get up to 65 or 70 psi. This tubing is not designed for those pressures.
A: No, this is made to run at low pressure for a drip system. Use PVC (or some other alternative) if you are running at full house water pressure.
A: yes. just use the press-in fittings from HomeDepot
A: no
A: Yes, it will go underground, in fact that is the intended use.
A: Do not use clamps with this tubing. Use only fittings made specifically for this size and type of tubing. The compression fittings never, ever leak in my twelve years of using them.
A: Your asking if a barbed slip fitting with clamp will work. Yes as long as the ID match. That is old school I did this type of instal my first time back in 83.
A: yes, i have used a slip in brass fitting with an automotive clamp on this hose and it works fine...no leaks.
A: nope
A: I don't know. If they do it would be extra cost and time.
A: don't use for hot water.
A: Do not use for hot water
A: I would not use this tubing for hot water.
A: This product is not intended for hot water use!
A: This pipe is for only underground install for watering the garden. Sounds like you might be trying to use this to heat the pool or solar use? Pipe does not have protection for UV rays so will become hard and crack. The fittings that they have at the store would probably hold up but again not what the pipe is intended for. Another note if water in this hose mixes with household water supply it would not be to code as this is not SAE for drinking purposes and could add contaminates if it is pulled/ syphoned back into the house drinking water supply.
A: DIG’s 0.700 OD drip irrigation poly tubing is designed to meet the demands of any drip irrigation project, above or below ground, from residential gardening to commercial landscape and agricultural installations. It should not be used with hot water. DIG 0.700 OD drip irrigation poly tubing is produced in CA, USA using Dow’s 7510 linear low-density polyethylene resins with high environmental stress crack resistance and UV protection against the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays. DIG
A: This is not meant for hot water use, and especially not for use in residential plumbing. The main purpose of this is for drip irrigation, small water fountains, small pond re-circulation, running underground to supply automatic cattle tank fillers and other non hot water, non interior water transport uses. For hot water lines use PEX or hot water rated PVC and the appropriate fittings. Sun warmed water is not a problem for this tubing.
A: *DO NOT* use this for hot water. Find a different tube made for that purpose.
A: There are fittings to connect this hose to a regular garden hose.
A: Yes, using this connector: http://www.homedepot.com/p/DIG-3-4-in-Female-Hose-Thread-x-1-2-in-0-700-O-D-Compression-Swivel-Adapter-C34/100141505 HOWEVER do not simply attach it and turn the hose on. Normal house water pressure will blow the drippers out. You must also use a pressure regulator like this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/DIG-25-psi-Hose-Thread-Pressure-Regulator-D46/100180295
A: No, this does not have any fittings on the ends.
A: Not as sold but I do believe they have couplers sold separately that can be attached to a hose.
A: You can connect the 1/2" drip tubing with .700 OD to a garden hose, or to your faucet by using part # C34, Swivel adapter with screen. To close the end of the 1/2" drip tubing you can use part #, F68 B figure 8 or part #, Q58 end cap. If used for drip irrigation, make sure to use a 25 PSI pressure regulator, part # D46. DIG
A: Yes, but you have to purchase a 1/2" connector between the two connections. Connectors are very reasonably priced. A straight cut must be made, which can easily be done with a any large household scissors
A: Yes but you would also need to purchase two of the slip-slip couplers that they have in stock in the irrigation section.
A: Yes, you can use the drip tubing to repair or extend a section of drip tubing by using 2 of part # C33 coupling with .700 OD. DIG
A: Absolutely, it's really easy: I've done it more than once. Just cut out the damaged portion, and splice in a section. You'll need two of these fittings: http://www.homedepot.com/p/DIG-1-2-in-0-700-O-D-Compression-Coupling-C33/100112407 A few things to note: 1. Not all 1/2" tubing is the same size - - make sure your existing installation is 0.700 tubing, or these compression fittings won't fit. 2. Each fitting will add a little bit of length to your tubing run, so your replacement tubing should be slightly shorter than the piece you cut out. 3. Think it through before you start assembling - - these fittings never leak, but once you attach them, they are almost impossible to remove. 4. If you only need to buy this tubing for repairs, note a smaller size package is available as well: http://www.homedepot.com/p/DIG-1-2-in-x-50-ft-Poly-Drip-Tubing-B35/100175565
A: yes - get some male-male connectors on both ends - that worked fine in my system.
