Answer This Question

A:  Yes you can.

A:  Depends. If the hole you made is a “clean” puncture it should work. The goof plug has one end that is fatter than the other so determine which end to use that will NOT go easily into the hole you made. If you have “slit” the tubing you will probably have to dig up around it, cut the tube, and use a new coupler. Good luck!

A:  If it's a clean hole and not a tear, yes.

A:  you will need an inline connector to repair that

A:  You can possibly use these or you can cut the line and use a straight connector.

A:  These are to plug the tiny holes for emitters or lines. You'll want to cut the tube and use a compression coupling for this size hole. Good luck!

      by|Mar 24, 2019

A:  Yes, if you can fit it in the hole. Otherwise, cut the tube and add a straight connector.

A:  Doesn’t it drive you crazy when someone answers a question with a question? The answer to your question is… It depends. Each one of these plugs is a different size, so as long as you can find the right one/size, you should be in great shape. These goof plugs are inexpensive and super reliable. Make sure you use the tool to make a clean cut/insertion. There are two different tools that you can purchase at Home Depot for using these plugs. I bought the lesser expensive one and it worked perfectly.

A:  Yes the goof plugs are used to seal and plug a hole in ½” poly tubing. The goof plugs have a standard size plug on one side and a larger sized plug on the other side. Use the standard side for regular holes made by a punch tool, or to seal off the end of ¼” micro-tubing or dripline. Use the larger side for bigger holes in the ½” poly tubing.

A:  A leak in what? They are designed to fit a hole in 1/2" drip irrigation tubing made with a drip tube punch. If the hole is around 1/8" or can be made 1/8" then maybe. If it is larger, no; if the tubing is softer than drip tubinhg, the plug will pop out.

              A:  No, just 20 plugs

              by|Jun 1, 2020

A:  It has been quite a while since I received these. I don't recall how many were in the package. But I don't believe it was 200. Sorry.

A:  No. Just 20 total plugs in all.

                by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes. Correct. They do have smaller incramental packages too. But yes they do come in 200.

A:  The package comes with 20 plugs

                    by|May 5, 2023

A:  I think you need to rephrase your question. When you purchased these, it’s a pack of 20. It’s about two bucks.

Q:I see it says you can end the 1/4" with these plugs but since there's a big end and a small end, I was wondering if the big end could be used to end the 1/2" supply line also?

                        Answer This Question

A:  The answer is NO, the large side of the plug is just to use for larger holes in the 1/2" tubing. To close off the end of the 1/2" poly tubing, use the Q58 end cap or the F68B figure 8 fitting.

A:  It is way too small to close a 1/2" line. What you need is "Figure-8 Hose End Closure". Search on that.

A:  Yes recommend a zip tie just to secure it also.

A:  No. There are other products that you can purchase for the end of a half inch supply line. These plugs are for mistakes along the way.

A:  It mentions it can be used to plug a small hole in a 1/2 inch line, suggesting it may not be able to adequately plug the entire 1/2 inches.
