A: The baseplate covers the standard 3 holes in a sink if you use it. Not using it on a SS sink makes the faucet a bit wobbly even though it's tight. The baseplate could be drilled out for the soap dispenser on the left side, 4" from the faucet (standard hole spacing) but you'd need to spend $30 for a 1 3/8" Milwaukie Dozer metal hole saw to make the hole in the base plate (that's what I did). There are little round SS covers to attractively fill any holes that you need to in a SS sink.

Q:Can you upgrade the extender hose to metal instead of using the braided nylon hose?

Answer This Question
A: I have installed many faucets and have never seen a metal braded supply hose. You need to use the same hose with the correct ends.

A: Hi Mom, Thank you for your question.
There is only a nylon braided hose available for the Delta 19912-SSSD-DST. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Q:Can it be installed without the deck?

Answer This Question
A: I assume you mean the base plate. Yes, but it's bendy on a SS sink even though it's tightly mounted. Not the best installation.
by|May 5, 2023
A: The deck is needed to cover any additional holes exceeding one. If you only have one hole in your sink it is recommended to not use the deck.

A: I would contact Delta directly about the problem. I have used this unit since it came out without any problems. All plactic pumps quit working over time. It is not like the the times when things were made of quality. All new products are the same when it comes to length of service. The shorter the better for the manufacture.

Q:Is this a good choice for a three-bowl sink? would the spray reach easily into the outer bowls w/o using the sprayer?
by|Aug 15, 2016

Answer This Question
A: Retracted, the outer edge of the water spout just reaches 10" from the center of the mounting hole so it would not reach all of a three-compartment sink without extending the water sprayer.
by|May 5, 2023
A: I would say it should work great. We only have a double bowl with a center mount. It reaches all the corners just fine.

A: the pull down sprayer is long and yes but the whole swivel will not
by|May 4, 2023
A: Hi Leakyfaucet,
Thank you for your question. The spout extends 8 11/16" from the center of the faucet to the center of the sprayer.

Q:How do I order a replacement part for a kitchen faucet

Answer This Question
A: Home Depot carries the inner control unit. If the faucet is in need of much repair, cheaper to replace. This faucet should last at least 5 years unless you have very hard water or a lot of iron in the water.
