Answer This Question
A: For gluing the acrylic walls to backer board, please use a construction-grade adhesive that specifically states on the packaging that it is safe for use on acrylic and ABS plastic. Many of these adhesives can be found at your local Home Depot store and they are commonly referred to as "tub surround" adhesive. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

Q:Is the threshold against the wall in the back
by|Jul 10, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The shower base that comes with this kit is a single threshold shower base, so it will have 1 threshold on the front 60" side. The "threshold" is defined as the curb of the base where you will install the shower door and the part of the base you will step over to enter the shower. The other 3 sides of the base will have tiling flanges and these sides of the base with the tiling flanges are the ones that will need to be installed against studs. Answer This Question
A: The heaviest component in this shower kit will be the shower door, and the box for that will weigh approximately 98 LBS. The shower base will weigh approximately 47 LBS and the wall panels are actually very lightweight because they are the type of walls that must be glued to backer board. Each wall panel will weigh approximately 8-10 LBS. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

Q:Doors were installed but I don’t like where the stationary was placed. Can they be switched at this point?
by|Jun 15, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: You would have to completely uninstall the unit, then flip the frame upside-down to switch the orientation of the stationary panel. You will likely have to drill new holes to hold the glass profiles inside of the wall jambs and you will probably also need to drill a new hole for the small stationary glass holder at the bottom. You'll have to see how everything lines up and if you run into any issues, you can always purchase replacement hardware parts by calling our support team at 866-731-2244. Q:An the walls come apart or will the unit fit thru a 24” door opening
by|Jun 14, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The acrylic walls that come with this kit are the type that must be glued to backer board (after they are trimmed to fit the opening). This is not a one-piece molded surround and the walls are not for direct-to-stud installation (they must be glued to backer board). The walls are thin and flat panels, so they will easily be able to fit through your doorway. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!
