A:  DreamLine offers many compatible shower door options to match this SlimLine shower base. The Flex shower door is a pivot shower door that is the most popular selection because it has a lot of adjustment to fit your finished opening measurements. We also offer more frameless options such as the Unidoor or Elegance models, but these are models that we would recommend ordering only after you have finished your walls and you can take measurements to order the proper size. A:  This base and backwall kit will include: 1 shower base, 3 shower wall panels (left, right, & back), and 2 glass shelves with mounting brackets. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  SlimLine shower bases feature a very low-profile low curb design, and they are designed and intended for use with a shower door. The standing area of the shower base is very shallow, so a shower curtain would not really drape very much inside the curb and it could leak. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  Yes - you will need to use a specific adhesive type to glue the acrylic walls to your backer board. Most of these adhesives are commonly labeled as "tub surround" adhesive, but what you are basically looking for is a construction-grade adhesive that specifically states that it is safe for use on acrylic and ABS plastic. These products should be in stock at your local Home Depot store and a rep from the store should be able to help you locate them easily. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  There are not any pre-cut holes in the wall panels for plumbing fixtures, so you can put the plumbing fixtures wherever you like. Instructions for cutting holes for plumbing fixtures will be provided in the installation manual. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  DreamLine does not test our products for compatibility with products made by other manufacturers. DreamLine also does not sell our hardware on its own because all of our hardware is specifically designed to only fit specific DreamLine models. A:  The SlimLine single threshold (alcove) shower base model you are asking about has a designated threshold and it will be on one of the 48" sides of the shower base. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  DreamLine shower bases cannot be cut or trimmed in any way. Doing this will completely destroy the base, make it unusable, and void the product warranty entirely. Please do not attempt to cut or trim any DreamLine products that are not designed to be cut or trimmed. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  The QWALL acrylic walls that come with this unit must be installed over 1/2" thick backer board. These are not direct-to-stud walls and they will require substrate. To be clear, the shower base installs to studs, then you will hang 1/2" thick backer board up around the base before trimming and installing the acrylic walls. The shelves do not require studs for installation - there will be wall anchors and screws provided with the metal shelf brackets.
