A: Yes with anchors

A: I haven’t done this but would imagine yes. As long as the curtain assembly does not apply more than 50 pounds force per anchor. The long distance from the wall would create a lever force and could dislodge the anchors if the mount/rods/curtain are heavy.

A: These will work well with anchoring the brackets that would hold up a curtain rod. Not clear what you mean by projecting 3.5 inches from the wall.

A: Yes, you can remove them. You just unscrew them. They do leave a fair sized hole that you have to repair though. If you've already screwed a screw into them, the hole will be a little bigger, but you still can remove them pretty easily.

A: yes,you might go with the 75lb.plugs,the screw is bigger #9
by|Apr 9, 2021
A: They worked fine for me through one 5/8 sheetrock and one 3/4 plywood.
by|Nov 10, 2020
A: They will work on double drywall, but you might need to make a pilot hole. Sometimes the tip of the anchor will ware out by the time you hit the second layer.

A: never tried this but I would think that it will hold just as well or better
Might see if these come in a longer version
Should hold

A: I would tbink so as long as its the same type and size, meaning the diameter of the shaft and thread type (course vs fine)
by|Oct 11, 2020
A: I have as well
I take it you want this for hanging a picture?
Just be sure you use the correct size that comes with the anchor if the anchor states 6-32 at X # of inches then figure your length out of the wall
by|Oct 17, 2020
A: I have never tried it but it should be a positive experience as long as the screw goes in far enough to spread the plastic mount to hold it to the wall. I have used these after the normal dry wall screw mounts failed and they worked well.

A: Yes
by|Apr 9, 2021
A: I would think so, and the same listed wieght on the package. You would just have to devise a way to attach the item you are trying to hang.
by|Jul 25, 2020
A: Depends on what you're hanging. For overhead items weighing alot, I'd use a stud finder and go to the studs or else use toggle bolts.

Q:Can you use a #8 diameter screw with this #6 EZ Ancor fastener? #6 screw head is too small to hold wall mounting speaker.

Answer This Question
A: No. The larger screw is too big and you will end up stripping the anchor right out of the drywall. Just use the larger size anchor.
by|Aug 18, 2020
A: I would use the screw supplied and just add a washer under the head. I add washers all the time to secure shelves. Try it and I think you will be very happy.

A: i,am not sure you twist it right through through the drywall
by|Sep 2, 2020
A: Hi Charlie, this is Scott from the E-Z Ancor product team. We do not recommend using another screw size for the anchor. We recommend using a #6 washer to help the screw fit.
Please check the weight of your wall mounting speakers. The 50 lb. weight capacity is for items hung flush to wall and will be less for those hung out from wall, like speakers. Please feel free to call us at (877) 489-2726 or email us at CS@itwbrands.com. We will be happy to answer any other questions.

Q:Can these screws that are in this packaged be used to hold 50lbs in a stud?

Answer This Question
A: Probably, however Keep in mind that the thickness of the Tri wall Will take up a lot of this true length so your only end up getting maybe a quarter inch into the wood. No problem for a towel bar or something like that but if you truly need 50 pounds I wouldn't recommend it just use a longer screw.
by|Aug 18, 2020
A: These are made for drywall not studs.
If you are screwing into a stud you need wood screws.
by|May 25, 2020
A: You don’t need these in a stud, they are for Drywall where there is no stud- you can put a raw nail or raw screw in a stud- Sounds like your Home Depot Associate is a full blown idiot
