A:  I don't know what you mean by one line? The spool that you wind the trim line on has two (2) places on the spool that you wind two (2) pieces on trim line on which are each 15' long. Each line of the spool will come out / thru the eyelets of the trimmer head which are 180 degrees apart.

If you are looking for one piece of trimmer line, we would recommend using the Speed Feed 400. The part number is, Part #99944200907. This head is a tap-to-advance style head that holds one, 20 foot length of trimmer line.

A:  as in 1 string? If so, yes you use one line that you fold in half and wind up on spool. The ends will go through the 2 holes.

We would recommend contacting ECHO's Customer Support Department at 1-800-432-ECHO (3246) with the model and serial number for your attachment. These numbers can be located on a black and white sticker attached to the shaft of the attachment.
