A:  No one knows: as you see, the official answer never quite answers your question. You DO have to add it every 2 months. It's not really appropriate for a garden unless it's a micro 2X2 garden: it'd cost more than the vegetables at a high end market.

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. There are 2 cubic feet of soil in your 15 gallon pot. If you are potting new plants, mix in 2 cups of Garden Tone into the soil per cubic foot. In your case, mix in 4 cups of Garden Tone. If the pot has existing plants, sprinkle 1.5 teaspoons of Garden Tone into the soil around the edge of the pot for every 4 inches of pot diameter. Water thoroughly.

A:  Yes, I have used it on both flowers and vegetables with satisfying results. The organic ingredients in Espoma’s Vegetables Tone and Flower Tone are both very similar. I love their products. I’ve tried quite a few of them. I hope this answer helps you. Happy Gardening!

                        Answer This Question

A:  There is micro life in the product to break things down faster (most soups have this life already). As long it is dry you can store it for 4 years.

A:  Thank you for your question. When stored dry the fertilizer materials have an almost unlimited shelf life. Garden-Tone has Bio-tone microbes and is best used prior to the date printed on the bag.

A:  Blossom end rot is mostly caused by watering. Regular watering is the solution. Also just cut away the rot part and you can enjoy the rest of the tomato.

A:  A specific tomato fertilizer will prevent blossom end rot. It will contain added calcium to prevent blossom end rot. I use Espoma tomato-tone. Garden-tone will not solve your problem. I use it at planting which is best. At this point you might need a liquid calcuim additive fed through the soil or sprayed on the leaves. Good luck. V
