Q:I am guessing the compression end won't fit over a 1/2 inch copper pipe! Please advice on the correct size compression that goes over and will fit a 1/2 inch copper pipe. Thanks

A: For the Everbilt 1/2 in. OD Compression x 1/2 in. MIP Brass Adapter Fitting, you will use instead a 5/8 in. compression to use with a ½ in. copper pipe.

Q:What is the thread count on the male 1/2 inch end. I'm needing this type adapter with a 20 thread count. Hoping to find a 1/2 inch male 20 thread count with a female 3/8 inch compression end.
I'd prefer a tapered thread on the male end.
Thanks.

Answer This Question
A: We are not sure of the exact application, but the MIP could be threaded into a hole cut into the bucket. Teflon tape would help prevent leakage for the Everbilt 1/4 in. OD Compression x 1/4 in. MIP Brass Adapter Fitting.

Q:Can you use this on a gas dryer

Answer This Question
A: The compression side is designed to work with softer metal (copper) and vinyl piping, both of which are not appropriate for use in Natural gas applications. We would recommend consulting a licensed plumber who knows local code to identify the proper method for completing the connection.

Q:... then we should REMOVE the insert and ONLY use the provided nut to tighten on the 1/4" OD copper tubing that is inserted? Am connecting 1/4" stainless steel supply line to other end. Thank you!

Answer This Question
A: The insert is only for non-rigid tubing such as vinyl. If the pipe thread is the SS that is fine, but if it is 1/4” SS tubing it will most likely leak, as the brass ferrule will deform before the SS tubing.
