      A:  We recommend using one clip per board end. Attach a short piece of 2x4 blocking to the stringer and install the second clip for the abbutting board.

        A:  Hi Ford, Thank you for your question. You are limited to using hidden clips on stairs depending on what you are using for boards. Typically you want to use square edge (non-grooved) boards so the grooves are not exposed. It looks cleaner. But if you are using all grooved boards, you will only be able to use the hidden clips between the two boards and face screws on the outer edge of the boards.
