Answer This Question
A: Thank you for the question and we are sorry for the concern this caused. This is the specific rating based on the unit exchanging the air 5 times per hour. The range provided is more accurate and this model effectively purifies air in medium rooms 200-400 square feet.

Q:Is there a on and off button for ionization

Answer This Question
A: Hi Chan. There is no difference between an ionizer and PlasmaTrue. Ionizers use electrostatically charged plates to produce positively or negatively charged gas ions that particulate matter sticks to in an effect similar to static electricity. Some ionizers produce Ozone that can be harmful to your health; however, PlasmaTrue has been tested and validated per the latest regulation to show that it does not generate harmful Ozone; however, the PlasmaTrue Technology feature on the AeraMax can be turned off. Please note that if you turn off the PlasmaTrue feature, it may reduce the coverage area below the AHAM certified rating.

A: Hi Mike. Thank you for your question. The efficacy of the air purifier is dependent on the amount of air flow in the house. In addition, the more contaminated the air, the more air exchanges (and time) are need to effectively clean it. These external factors prevent us from being able to provide a specific answer, but we can say with confidence that our air purifiers easily and efficiently clean the air, making it healthier!
