Q:What is the grit for the ceramic rollers? Do you also have them in rougher and finer grits for this sharpener? Thanks!

A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. This product has only been tested on our axe and knife blades that require sharpening at a 30° angle. We do not recommend using this sharpener on a Fiskars Reel Mower.

A: Not necessarily because mower blades have a bevel edge (at least my Honda mower blades do) and axes are symmetric. I always use a Dremel with small metal grinding bit for the mower.

A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. The axe sharpener is designed for the thinner edge of an axe. A pedestal or hand grinder with a course wheel/disc would be recommended for sharpening the maul.

A: Only if the blade Is prep for it. Most mauls have a thick edge so it won't fit in the vee! I shaved mine down to 20 degrees, then it worked perfectly!

A: I didn't use the Fiskars Axe Sharpener on the Fiskars Chopping Brush Axe, but I did use it quite successfully to finish the edge on a thin-bladed machete.
