A: Just push down gently on the notch and pull it out. It's flimsy but shouldn't break. Note that if you leave the grill off you'll get much better airflow.

Answer This Question
A: It doesn’t need to exhaust out a window. It does need airflow though, so you can’t have it pressed against a wall. This is a portable unit with only a power cord, no tubes.

Q:How long does the tank actually last? I need it to be able to go 4-5 hours. Maybe even 9 in an emergency without refilling. It says 1.8 gallon tank which sounds like it should last at most maybe two hours but on another question people responded by saying it lasted two full nights for them? What does that mean? On one tank? A full 16 hours? That does not seem right.

Answer This Question
A: It is roughly 8 hours. There is sleep and nature modes that work with your AC, if you use these modes it may be possible to get a longer use time on one tank and is probably why some reviews say 16 hours. If I fill it at 1pm on a 100 degree day, I am looking at about 8 hours of cooling. Remember, the hotter it is the less effective any evaporative cooler becomes.

A: On low setting which is what I use the tank lasts about two days. I don’t run it constantly, just when using it like at night or when exercising.

Q:How efficient is this unit in the hot and humid weather of South Florida?

Answer This Question
A: I don't recommend any sort of evaporative cooler for a place like Florida. I've been there. Evaporative coolers are effective when water can evaporate. In a high humidity climate, water can't evaporate very well. This would only be a very expansive fan.

A: This item would be unhelpful in that area. A small AC unit would be needed.
by|Jun 29, 2021
A: A AC Unit is going to work better in that it "removes" humidity from the air to cool . This "adds" Humidity to the air so better for a Dry Climate

A: The cool air does not make much difference in Florida's humidity. Feels very nice. Just make the room cooler.
And i didn't use the ice pads that come with it. Just water. Cold enough for me.

A: Only one degree cooler after running for a long time. Already returned it. Why would Frigidaire want to put their name on this thing? Don't waste your money.
