Q:How is the range vented? where are the vents
                by|Feb 12, 2024
                1 Answer
                Answer This Question

A:  The oven on our electric, free-standing ranges is vented through a duct under the right rear surface unit, and will release heat when either the oven or broiler is in use. This will cause that area of your cooktop to feel warm and may even seem to be turned on.

Q:Is this safe for water bath canning?
                  by|Feb 3, 2024
                  1 Answer
                  Answer This Question

A:  Hi - Great question! You certainly can use this range for canning. Normally, pots that extend beyond one inch of the cooking element's trim ring are not recommended for most surface cooking; however, when canning with a water-bath, pressure canner, or pressure cooker, larger diameter pots may be used. This is because boiling water temperatures (even under pressure) are not harmful to cooktop surfaces surrounding the surface units. We hope this helps. Let us know if you have additional questions. All our best. -Kacie@GEAppliances

A:  Hi - Great question! You can set a Timed Cook and the oven will shut off once the cooking time has completed.
