A:Â Yes, Pump works automatically based on both Float Control and
Humidity Settings.

A: Hello Paul, thank you for your question! The pump will turn on automatically when the tank is full if the feature is activated first. To do this, press and hold the "Pump" button for 3 seconds. This cycle will continue to pump until the button is deactivated. If you would like to read more about this feature, we recommend you check out page 6 of the owner's manual, linked here: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/28/285f7aa9-e95b-4e36-bb64-c10518b83fcc.pdf We hope this helps! Q:Does this unit have automatic restart after a power outage?
by|Aug 10, 2020

Answer This Question
A:Â Yes
by|Aug 13, 2020
A:Â For at least reasonable outages yes. Mine comes back on set however it was beforehand. I've had the power out here for over an hour, and it restarted on its own.
If it's off for a long time I don't know; that is, I don't know if there is a capacitor that is holding up the "memory" of where its set and will eventually discharge, or how that's arranged. The keys are all "soft touch" so it definitely is not physical switches.

A:Â Hi Orion - Thanks for considering GE! Yes, in the case of a power outage or interruption, the unit will automatically restart, in the settings last used, after the power is restored. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

Q:1200 Sq Ft, 2 Story Condo ~ it says max area covered is 1500 Sq Ft. If I leave all the doors open, will this work or do I need 2 devices?

Answer This Question
A:Â I believe you will see humidity controlled in your 1200sqft condo. With the doors open and this unit placed in the lowest level (humidity falls) It will work for you.

A:Â Hi Polopeka - Thanks for considering GE! Considering the size of the area, it may be best to use two devices. If the area is not too humid, you may want to try one device first and see how the comfort level is within the condo. Then, use a second device, if needed. These are designed for dehumidifying a room, basement, living room, bedroom, etc. vs an entire home. Also, take a look at the following link- DEHUMIDIFIERS - IDEAL OPERATING CONDITIONS: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=54 - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! A:Â You would need circulating fans to make sure that the dry air from the dehumidifier gets to both floors, and that the wetter air gets to the dehumidifier from both floors.

A:Â Should be able to, yes. I'm only pumping it about 4' vertically but it's a vibratory pump and should not have a problem with this.
