A: Hello,
This is Michelle with GE and I am happy to help.
"Crackling or "popping sounds are considered normal and are caused by the heating and cooling of the metal during the cooking or cleaning processes. If you are hearing something different, we must recommend scheduling service (see Owner's Manual for service contact information).
Thank you for checking.

Q:Where can I find complete directions for converting to LP gas? There are no directions for oven and broiler orifice replacement in the manuals.
by|Feb 6, 2014

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
This is Joyce from GE. I will be happy to help. The range leaves the factory set for use with natural gas.
If you want to convert to LP gas, the conversion must be performed by a qualified LP gas installer.
The conversion orifices and instructions can be found on back of the range. Keep these instructions and all orifices in case at some point you want to convert back to natural gas.
Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!

Q:Can the oven be lit with a match if electric goes off?
by|Sep 13, 2013
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello Mama Red Hawk – this is Nancy with GE and I’m happy to help you.
In case of a power failure, you can light the surface burners on your range with a match. Please follow the instructions in the Owner's Manual and use extreme caution when lighting burners this way.
Surface burners in use when an electrical power failure occurs will continue to operate normally. However, if the Lock Control (on some models) is in use at the time of a power failure, the surface burners cannot be lit.
I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for contacting GE!
