Q:What dimension drain pipe is required? Can it be 1-1/2” instead of 2”?
by|Jan 31, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hey there - that’s a great question! We can confirm that the standpipe diameter must be 1-1/2” minimum. There must be an air gap around the drain hose in the standpipe. A snug fit can cause a siphoning action. To learn more, see the Drain Requirements section on page 16 of the Installation Instructions: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/f2/f2d99ba8-2fec-43a3-8cca-60b90b3bd8a3.pdf -- We hope this helps in your decision making! Q:What is the maximum amount of gallons of water does this washer uses at any time?
by|Jan 19, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi there - We know that the amount of water used in a washing machine can be important, but we're unable to provide an exact amount of water used as it will vary depending a variety of factors. This machine uses an average of 14.95 gallons of water per cycle, but this will change depending on things such as the amount of clothes, the selected cycle, and the amount of dirt and soil in the load. We hope this helps. Take care. -Don@GEAppliances
