A:  One Gila support says yes, the other says no...Which one is it!

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. All Gila Window Films are safe for dual pane windows if used correctly. Most, including this Heat Control 3-in-1, can be applied to the inside of dual pane windows. The exception is the Gila Glare Control Smoke and Privacy Control Black as these two are to be applied on the outside of dual pane windows only.

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Gila brand EZMount adhesive makes film removal easy and clean. Removal is as easy as peeling the film away from the glass.

A:  Yes and no it is a light filtering film. I can see through it perfectlyand in the daylight no one can see in and it has a light mirror effect outside. When dusk arrives you can see in.

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. All Gila Heat Control films will help reduce heat, reduce glare and block UV Rays. If Glare Reduction is your primary need, we would recommend this product or the Gila Heat Control Titanium. Both reduce glare from the sun by 72% and block up to 99% UV Rays. The main difference is that the 3 in 1 is less reflective and will not block as much heat as the Titanium product.

A:  Hi Mary, the Gila Heat Control 3-in-1 product can be installed on single and dual pane glass windows.

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Both the Gila Titanium and 3-in-1 offer great heat control benefits, they vary in that the 3-in-1 is less reflective and a gray tone. While the Titanium will offer a higher reflective appearance, which will also increase the amount of heat it can help reject.

A:  I don't think there should be any problem with an indoor film over Gila film.

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. It is not recommended to install film on top of film. "Stacking" solar control films can often result in the glass becoming too warm, raising glass temperatures beyond the manufacturer's suggested limits. Excessive heat can cause seal damage (on dual pane units) or glass breakage. Please also note that Gila warranties are voided by film stacking or "layering."

A:  Hi Alex and thank you for your interest in Gila Window Films. No, the Gila Heat Control 3-in-1 will only offer daytime privacy. There is no technology at this time to make a window film (or glass) truly "one way" privacy under all lighting conditions. Our Privacy Control Frosted film provides 24-hour privacy and diffuses natural light, but it does not offer the heat control that you would find in this product. It provides the same appearance as frosted or sand-blasted glass.

A:  They have a mirrored film that blocks heat and light, but it only provides privacy during the day. This is what it says on the package. I have found that for privacy, some of the patterned films are better, but they do not have the heat/UV blocking properties.

A:  I found the room I installed these in to remain a better temperature than before. I live in GA so it was mostly to keep the room cool instead of the sun heating the room up. It solved that. If you are trying to keep the heat in, you may want to look into doing something else with your windows like purchasing better ones or making sure the windows are installed correctly.

A:  We have 2 windows that get direct for over half a day. I put this film on those windows and it made a big difference. It knocked the heat level down about 30 percent. We live in the south so cold is not an issue.
