A:  Great idea! Yes, the opening is 8" so plenty of room

A:  Correct, no pre-drilled mounting holes. Perhaps your bit was dull or not meant for wood.

A:  Not sure why there seemed not to be pre-drilled holes but I would suggest you take a little wood putty to fill in the area where the screw is located, wait for it to dry, then sand it if necessary and touch up with matching paint. A:  There are no holes. Had to drill my own

A:  No mounting hardware included. I used a stud-finder and went right to the wall studs with 1 1/2" deck screw with mushroom finish washers for more solid securement but something like a 3/16" moly would hold well to the drywall

A:  The mounting screws are not included, however, to install into a stud you would need 4 #12 x 3 screws with washers and place them into the predrilled cabinet holes. If installing to drywall installation, drill holes, insert toggle bolts #12 x 3 screws with washers. They include directions with the cabinet.

A:  This item does not include mounting screws. #12 3 inch screws are needed if mounting on dry wall you need toggles

A:  my son used some type of plastic anchors as shown by Home Depot. They hold up to 100lbs which is much more than cabinet weighs

A:  I used 4 screws with anchors.

A:  I bought 60lb Drywall Anchors. The directions tell you to drill 4 holes in the corners which is what I did. It seems pretty sturdy. Time will tell.

A:  The cabinet comes with the brushed chrome finished handles. I would contact your local Home Depot store and ask them if they would be able to provide you with the bright chrome knobs. Otherwise, the brushed finished knobs are included with the cabinet. The bright chrome hardware knobs are available for purchase at the Home Depot store. I hope this helps.

A:  No doubt. Home Depot has a vast amount of knobs to choose from. I would take one of yours to the store just to make sure your hardware will match what you intend on picking.
