A: Depending on the sink top about 6 inches

A: How far the pedestal comes out from the wall really only depends on how far out the plumbing comes from the wall. As a general guideline, the pedestal needs only about 6 inches of space from the wall, give or take, again, depending on the plumbing positioning.
Thank you!

Q:Is the inside of the pedestal hollow all the way up, or is there anything inside?

A: I originally asked this question because it effects the height that the P-trap is installed. There is a partial obstruction on the back side of the pedestal up to 9" above the floor. As long as your P-trap can clear that height, it is fine. Having this partially closed base is good because its easier to clean the floor. But if you have a drain leak it might also hold water for a while before you know you have a leak.

A: It's hollow, but the back part has a small wall at the bottom which is about a foot tall.
