Q:Will this thermostat work with a geothermal two stage heat pump?
by|Oct 13, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi there, LaJeff1952! Thank you for your question. The Nest Thermostat works with most 24 Volt heating and cooling systems but is not compatible with two-stage heat pump systems. The device itself comes with 6 wire connectors. You might want to check the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen. The device itself comes with 10 wire connectors which are designed for a two-stage heat pump systems. We recommend checking the wire labels and the labels on your system first. You can use the Compatibility Checker tool and verify full compatibility here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9246656
