The device itself comes with 6 wire connectors. You might want to check the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen. The device itself comes with 10 wire connectors which are designed for a two-stage heat pump systems. We recommend checking the wire labels and the labels on your system first. Open the Home app and then touch and hold your thermostat's tile. 2. Make sure your thermostat is in Heat, Cool, or Heat • Cool mode before you try to start a temperature hold. 3. Tap Hold temperature. 4. Select the Current temp or the temperature preset you want your thermostat to hold. 5. Select the end time you want the temperature to hold for. 6. Tap Start to begin the temperature hold. You can also set the temperature hold on the Nest Thermostat as well.
