            A:  For the best bond you will want to sand the area so that the join is wood to wood. If the glue cannot penetrate the primer then you'll be gluing the primer.

                                      A:  Hi doodi, No wrong glue for fiberglass you can use it on wood but for what you want you need, Gorilla Construction Adhesive Model # 80200 or Gorilla Spray Adhesive Model # 6301502 or Gorilla Super Glue works. Construction Adhesive is the best but if you need clear would use the Super Glue. I have used both the Const. Adhesive and Super glue, have not tried the Spray but is made for plastic
