A: Hi, Not sure about the fireplace but I don't have fireplace. They are using by peel tapes on the back if the heat ruin them for loose. Sorry and good question.

A: Not sure. I can tell you I had it installed behind an electric baseboard heater. My 4 YO grandkids turned the heat up to about 90+ degrees. And the wall panel melted and deformed.

Q:Can you mount a 65? flat screen tv to it with out crushing panel
by|Sep 20, 2022

Answer This Question
A: No, you'd need to cut the boards out around the mount so the mount can sit flush against the wall. Mounting over the top might possibly also impact any expansion or contraction of the boards since that would create much more of a rigid anchoring point than the double sided tape.
by|Sep 23, 2022
A: Yes you can, as long as you exercise great precaution. Use light tools rather than heavy duty and start with small drill bits rather than large. Avoid as much pressure as possible on panels.
by|Sep 23, 2022
A: It depends. The internal support structure of the boards runs the length of the boards (think corrugated plastic). They are strong, but crushable with enough force, particularly near the edges or where the force is concentrated in the same direction as the length of the board.
When i bought mine, the manufacturer did not recommend drilling or nailing through the boards at all. So, since I wanted to hang a large, heavy wooden coat rack, I intentionally left one board off the wall where the mounting hardware would go. You cannot see it behind the coat rack. In your case, I would install the tv mount to the wall first, so you can be sure it is in studs and that the tv will be secure (a stud finder is not going to be as accurate once these boards are on the wall). Then I would mount these boards up to and around the tv mount. You won't see the small bare spot behind the tv and you could always fill it in with new boards later should you decide you no longer want a tv in that spot.

A: We do not recommend mounting flat screen TV's to the wall panels.

Q:Will this work on textured walls?

Answer This Question
A: The panels should work on textured walls as long as it is a somewhat smooth surface. If you need samples to make sure they will work please email arinehimer@grosfillex.com with your name and mailing address and we can send them out for you to test.
Thank you.

A: Yes, it works on the wall. Loves it and no problem. Light weight and snap each panels with peel sticker on the back. Stronger flat and not wobble or bend. Just perfect flat and still good on the wall. Good Luck

Q:Will this stick well to painted cinderblock walls? Looking to cover up basement walls to look less prison-y

Answer This Question
A: The panels will stick well to cinderblock walls using the two-sided tape provided and/or liquid nails as an extra adhesive.

A: I think they will. The boards are very light weight and attach with foam tape (I think it was 3M brand). I do remember from my college days that foam tape held really well to painted cinderblock. You could always do a tape test beforehand or even just very lightly tug on the first board after you secure it. If you have any troubles, you could use construction adhesive (I am a huge fan of gorilla construction adhesive for any permanent applications that need strength and quick grab), but I do think the tape will work well for you. The boards are beautiful, easy to work with, and the perfect option for a basement.

A: I believe they would stick well as long as the paint is clean. The adhesive strips are so strong that they pulled the paint off my wall on a couple that I had to adjust. Even if they only adhere to 50% of the porous block surface, that should be good enough. The panels are very lightweight as well.

A: In my application I used double sided tape. But if I were you I would also use liquid nails.
