A:  Wow so many come tons issues with the light. Going to return it before I even open the box

There are not any specific troubleshooting steps in the troubleshooting section of the user manual; however, flickering lights are the result of the light bulb not receiving enough electricity, which can be caused by things such as a loose light bulb, a faulty or incompatible wall switch, or damaged wiring. A:  Hello Sommer, you will need to install the switch that comes with the unit. You cannot use another switch.

A:  Hello Darren, the fan will only run once it is connected to the Homewerks app.

A:  Hold down the power button on the switch for 10 seconds to reset

A:  Make sure you have hot, neutral, and ground available at the switch. Your old unit may not have needed a ground. Does the light turn on while using the new switch? If so, it could be the fan is defective if all the other functions worked fine. Mine failed after a few months and they sent me a replacement. To do a reset, you can press and hold the power button on the switch, you will hear a soft click that turns everything off. After a few seconds, press and hold the power button again, you will hear another soft click that turns everything on. After that you should hear Alexia says she is connected to the wireless network. Wait a few seconds and try everything again. My initial thought is that you don't have hot, neutral, and ground available. Their support group is very good if you should try to contact them.

A:  Hello BVincent, The switch can be paired by holding down the light button (the one on the top left) until you see the fan light start to blink. Once it stops blinking, you can let go of the light button and the other buttons should start to work.
