Q:Dishwasher is at end of row, so there is no support. Have laminate counter we are replacing, so I need an end panel that can support the weight of a new granite countertop. Wouldn't this give out under the weight of the granite?

Answer This Question
A: Hello Arby-
Yes you are correct. A panel would not be able to support the weight of granite. A support would need to be made. The countertop installer should be able to make recommendations and assist you with this based on the weight of the granite. Thank you.

Q:How do I install this

Answer This Question
A: I used four medium L brackets (2 on either side at the top and 2 on either side at the bottom) to stabilize the panel. Once they put the countertop on it's held in place. An easy procedure but makes a big difference.

Q:Can I get this in a 3" version

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately this panel is not available in a 3" width. One potential option is to look at our decorative island panel and trim it to size. You can review it online by typing in the part number KADP337SW. This may not be what you're looking for but hopefully it helps, best of luck!

Q:If I have my dishwasher at the end of the row, I would use this at the end to cover the dishwasher? How do I install this?

A: Not applicable to our use, we used two and built a cabinet for the dishwasher, because there was no under the counter space for one. Then applied a granite top to match my kitchen counter.

Q:Why is there no toe kick available for these? Seems odd given there's a dishwasher end panel.

Answer This Question
A: The toe kick is usually placed along the front of the kitchen cabinet counter. Mine have often come with an average width of 5 1/2", and a length of 8 feet ( I have to measure and cut the toe kick width and length to fit the area under the cabinets). The color is black, or specified be the customer. This end panel is designed to be at the end of a cabinet group, at the end of the counter top. Thus, a toe kick is actually a different piece of the kitchen cabinet group.

Q:Can I used this panel to cover the whole where I removed my dishwasher
by|Aug 7, 2016

Answer This Question
A: The panel covers the depth of the cabinets that are installed and it is used for the sides. This could work for the front too because it is the same length as your typical 24" dishwasher. I would recommend to buy a cabinet door to match the front of the cabinet, some drawer rails and use the empty space as storage for your waste receptacles. Happy DIYing!
