A:  Hello Kathy- these wallplates are painted white, so you can consult with the paint department on the best way to paint them, but using a primer would be less risk.

      Q:What is the warranty on these plates? I an concerned about the finish wearing off. Even the new plate in a sealed package already showing black at the corners.

      A:  The finish should not wear-off under normal use. These are painted and it holds up well.

              A:  Hi Debb! The Ascher wallplates have a clear lacquer coating to protect the finish so it should hold-up fine, unless you have a super steamy room with no ventilation where a different material would be more appropriate.

                Q:When switching to a 3-Gang Rocker, it switches companies to Amerelle. When compared side-by-side to Hampton Bay, the colors are different. Any way to get a link to Hampton Bay's product?

                A:  We ordered the 3 gang version, not realizing the company is different. We received it and the color is NOT compatible - the Amerelle is noticeably more ivory than white. The statement that they are compatible is FALSE. BEWARE!

                      A:  Hi GGPamela- The finish within the Asher series is the same color "family". There may be slight color variation when held side-by-side, but unnoticeable when spaced within the room. I hope this answers your question.
