A:  I have these all installed in my master bath and walk in closet. They look great still, just like the day I installed which is 3 years ago.

A:  We bought rocker satin nickel wall plates about 1-1/2 to 2 years ago but have had no problems with them. However, we bought a satin nickel regular double switch plate like in your pictures, and there is a worn spot near the switch where the coating is off and which left a shiny spot. Not as bad as yours, but it's hard to understand why it's happening since we don't get it wet, nor do we touch the plate when using the switch. Agree that it's a lot of money for this to happen in such a short time!

A:  Wow, you must have got a bad run of them, or you have acidic hands or maybe using a toxic cleaner. I have 125 of these in a variety of sizes of both the Hampton Bay and Amerelle brands. Some are over three years old, some two. There are very few where they have become scratched, usually by having keys in your hand. And I just counted and checked them to make sure!
