A:  Yes. As you know, the only requirement to install a window is having a proper size opening in the wall where you can have a proper frame to secure the window. You can always cut a hole in the wall at a later time.

A:  They do not come with locks, there are tabs to be held in when opening the window.

A:  Unfortunately, the window itself is 16" wide, so framing 16" on center would only provide about 14-1/2" of clearance.

A:  They are wrong! The rough opening needs to be 16 1/2? per the installation instructions. Thanks HD for bad info, now I have to rework my framing.

A:  Rough opening should be 16 x 24. Don’t make it any bigger. Otherwise, the window mounting will miss the support frame.

A:  The size of the window itself is 16 x 24.

A:  The window is as you see it. It cannot be changed.

A:  It Appears the grid is painted on the inside of the window. Each piece of glass is a single piece, not double thickness, so the grid is accessable from the inside.

A:  The window is operable sliding from the bottom to the top.

A:  Bottom only. Top stays stationary.

A:  The exterior dimensions of this window are 22-1/4 x 29-3/4 and the interior dimensions are 20-3/4 x 28-1/4. Thanks!
