A:  Yes. But a power drill ensure it stays flush to the wall. Also you need the drill if you use the plastic anchors.

A:  Dear Rich, The shelf is designed for drywall. Please consult your local hardware store for installing the shelf on basement block walls.

A:  The mount system comes with a nylon insert for pressing into a hole. YOu would probably be best served by a masonry specific anchor if that is your wall type. That said, the quality of the shelf was not what I expected. The shelf itself does not flush up to the wall very well. YMMV but it may be a good idea to start with one until you know if the shelf meets you expectations.

A:  Yes, this unit can be mounted on a cinder block wall.

A:  Yeah just go into home Depot and ask for help in finding cement or block ancors. Remember you need special drill bit to do this. Start with a small hole and work your way up. I suggest 1/4, 1/2, then the size hole you need. Not as hard as it sounds. If you try using the I size bit it is harder to drill and will dull bit before your done.

A:  Yes you can. You will need to use a concrete drill bit and concrete screws

A:  the best scenario is to hit at least one stud. use all of the drywall anchors. pay attention to the arrow pointing up and use the top row of holes since the weight of the shelf contents will be pulling down.

A:  There is no set way, however I would ensure I put screws where my studs where.

A:  Miriam, if you can match up the holes with your wall studs, that should be sufficient. Otherwise, use the wider spread of holes with drywall anchors.

A:  Use the two holes with the stud. That will help and I would use the two top outer holes and two other holes at random

A:  If you have a stud that you can screw it into then you do not have to use any of the wall anchors. As long as its into 2 separate studs and not both in the center. Screwing into a stud will make it more than secure.

A:  I'd suggest a 1.5 or 2in drywall screw. That would do the trick for you.
