      Q:What is the backing of this rug made of? Can it be placed directly on top of Vinyl flank without stain, scratch or dis-color my floor? Thanks.

      A:  Jute backing. You can use it on Vinyl plank floor. It does not scratch or stain, non-slip rug pad recommended in order to prevent slipping on flat and smooth surfaces.

        A:  Yes it would not impact the rug in anyway. If you lay onto bare floor that would be ok too and if laying on bare floor you are welcome to place a rug pad underneath
