A: The extended tank drain assembly is equipped with a 1/4" NPT elbow. If the drain on your current compressor is 1/4" NPT, then yes, this should be a suitable replacement. Please note: The elbow, once installed into the bottom of your tank, will extend downward roughly 1". So be sure you have at least this amount of clearance under your tank, so that the elbow does not become damaged.
A: Yes, it will fit. I bought it for my compressor and it fits perfectly!
A: I would imagine it would. I used mine on a 30 gallon husky compressor.
A: It is metal with what appears to be a powder coat finish & it is very solid and durable. I use this on two air compressor and have never had any problem with the valve or handle but you definitely want to be careful to not damage the flexible hose!
A: The black handle on this valve is cast aluminum.
A: The black knob is metal. I purchased this item about 2-3 years ago, it is much easier to drain my tank now, which means I do it more often. I like it.

A: We do not recommend removing the elbow. The extended drain is designed with the elbow to keep it parallel to the floor and prevent the tube from kinking.
A: Yes it only takes a few seconds to drain water.
A: You can just open the valve until all the water comes out then shut it. No need to drain the whole tank.
A: Not necessary to decompress the tank. Just open the valve slowly because the water coming out will be under pressure. I like to drain mine while the tank is unpressurized, because the water will just flow out into my container. Hope this helps.
A: Yes, please disconnect the power, and release all pressure from the compressor system, before working with the tank drain.
A: I just open the valve when I am done using the compressor. The idea is to drain the water out of the tank and the pressure left in tank should help to do that.
A: You can open with pressure on the tank but you are going to get a 150 psi shower. I created an extension hose that threads on to the downstream side of the valve that I run into a bucket to catch the water. I bleed the air in the tank down to 15 psi so there is just enough pressure to push the water out to the bucket but not so much pressure that it sprays everywhere.
A: I open the valve long enough for any water to drain and close.
A: You can open and close it. In fact works better if it has pressure in it, it blows the water out instead of dribbling out.
A: You only have to open the valve just enough to drain water then close it.
A: What you see in the primary picture is what your get, no bracket included.
A: No bracket included. I just zip tied it to the compressor.
A: There was no bracket included. My compressor is sitting on a wood platform so I just let the drain end sit on the wood. Easy to get to and works great!
A: This tank drain assembly includes the 10" braided steel hose, with a 1/4" NPT elbow, and a quarter turn drain valve. A bracket is not included. There is another tank drain option you may want to look into - which is an electronic automatic tank drain kit. Husky number 305016301. The auto tank drain kit does come with a bracket for the compressor tank foot.
A: no bracket. I had to return mine it leaked out of the box bad o ring.
A: I am not sure, however I would think that it would tell in your owner’s manual or online what the fitting size is for your compressor. I used it on a porter cable pancake type compressor.
A: I honestly don't know. But the fitting on all compressors I've seen are a standard size - 1/4" NPT. If yours is that size, then yes. If you can remove the existing drain valve, take it with you to be sure.

A: Yes, this product is equipped with a 1/4" NPT elbow and as long as you have at least an inch clearance for the piece to fit.
A: I would assume so drain valves are a standard size. I would look at the bottom of the tank and see if it looks like a 1/4" inch NPT opening.as that is what this extension needs. I put this on my California air tools 20 gallon tank to make draining it easier.
A: If it's not in the home depot store try online to order it if you can't find a replacement you could make your own.
A: The extended drain valve kit, 072-0023H, will work on the C331H. If you need a replacement for the factory installed drain valve that came with your unit, please contact Husky Customer Care at 1-888-43-HUSKY.
A: This part is perfect. Could not drain the tank properly before we bought this. 5*
A: I do not know the specific answer to your question. But the Extended Tank Drain Valve Assembly is generic and works great on my compressor. I believe most compressors have the same drain valve fitting size. Having the extended drain is terrific for a stationary tank - probably not so much for a portable one.
A: This item should work on any compressor with a 1/4" plug in the bottom of the tank.
A: I would think so. Check the fitting sizes on the Extended Tank Drain Valve Assembly (it is 1/4 in. NPT) and on your tank. Most compressors have standard size - 1/4 in. NPT.
A: Looks like the same item that I used on my Husky. Works great!
A: Yes...I used the same extended drain tank valve assembly for my Husky 20 gallon air compressor. Works very well, but make sure you brace it by the base of the air compressor because when you drain the tank there is so much pressure that the extension wants to whip around.
A: I would think that it would. I just have an eight gallon craftsman and it screwed right into the existing fitting.
