A: Expensive relative to other brands, but well worth it. You get what you pay for. Hired a handyman to install them because they’re heavy, and it took him less than 2 hours. Only charged me $75, but I gave him $100 because he did such a perfect job

Q:Is a 95.5" closet opening wide enough for a 96" x 96"bifold door? I would rather purchase that size than the 90" wide

A: AuntM, It will be close. You are at the highest range of adjustability and there is no margin for error on the width if there is any uneveness in your floor or walls. Better option to reach out to us at Sales@Paniflex.com if you have additional questions or see if a custom option is a beter alternative. Thank you

Q:I want to purchase the 96" x 96" door but I am concerned that my 95.5" wide opening will not accommodate it. Do I need to get the 90in x 96in or will the 96in wide work? Is there 1/2in wiggle room or no?

Answer This Question
A: You want to have the proper amount of overlap on each door, I would suggest you add 1/2 inch piece of wood to create the 95.5 opening

Q:How long is the mirror breakage protection coverage?
What time and damage does the product warranty cover?
by|Jun 2, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Dear Jesica, Our hardware has a lifetime warranty and our components (including the mirror) have a warranty to be free from defects for 90 days. Our mirror, like other mirror door manufacturers, has no warranty for breakage, as, after all, it is still a mirror and if it gets hit with something it shouldn't, it will break. Thank you.

Q:Doors can be installed by opening in any direction?
by|Jun 1, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Dear Jesica, Our hardware has a lifetime warranty. Everything else (except breakage) has a 90-day warranty. We warranty the glass to be free from defects but breakage is not covered. If is gets damaged during shipping thats a different story and in that case make sure you take photos and notify the company that is trying to deliver(better actually to notate the frght bill) and Home Depot immediately if they try to deliver you a broken product. Thank you.

Q:I am replacing french style closet doors with these. It it not clear from the instructions whether these can be installed into a door with an existing jamb with stops. (The diagrams all make the opening look flat - no stops are pictured.)
Will this install into an existing jamb with stops?
by|May 25, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Joe, We would advise you to remove the stops if you can and use the smooth jamb surface that is left as your finished opening. This unit will be 2 seperate bifolds that will have the same function as your old french doors. Each bifold will open to either side so you will have full access to the closet. If you have more questions please feel free to reach out to sales@paniflex.com. Thank you. Carlos

Q:For the 6 panel, 3 door, 84 inch wide door, does the door in the center slide to the far right or the far left so it opens up the middle of the doorway? In the description it says Bi-fold allows for full access, doors open toward the edge of the opening, allowing access to 90% of the closet’s width when opened but a previous question asked on the width had a response that said the center doors stays in the middle. The diagram shows the center door opening either direction, but it was unclear if that center door stays in the middle or slides to either side so you don't have a door in the middle limiting your access opening.

Answer This Question
A: Dear busyben. The short answer is it does not slide out of the way. Picture that the opening is in thirds, and the idea is that you will have one large opening either on the left ot right and one small opening opposite that. The opening has 3 bifolds that are anchored where they pivot. For example, Door 1 on the far left will open to the left. Door 2 in the middle will open to the right. This is your large opening and gives you access to almost 2/3rds of your closet. The far right door should open to the left and we have an extra aligner that we will send you in this scenario. Please reach out to Sales@Paniflex.com if you have additional questions. Thank you Carlos

Q:I have a home built in 70's with solid wood sliding closet doors that go all the way up to my 8ft ceilings. I'm looking to replace with a bifold system. Would this retrofit my current closet door set up or does some work need to be done?

A: Dear HH, As long as you have a finshed opening on the sides and top you should be OK. remove the old system track and all and the floor to ceiling measurement needs to be 96" and in most cases you can go strait up into the ceiling but just make sure you catch some of the joists or anshor properly if thats not possible to be a secure and safe installation. Please reach out to Sales@Paniflex.com if you have additional questions. Thank you.
