A: Hopefully you sealed the tiles when you installed them. If not installed yet, make sure to seal the tiles. If sealed, dish wash liquid I warm water and brush gently with a soft bristled brush. If the tiles were not sealed, you can try cleaning this way but the stone is porous and does tend to suck in the grease, so will be more difficult to clean.

A: If you haven't installed this in your kitchen I would recommend against it, especially if you have alot of grease flying around. If you have installed this and have grease spots you will need to purchase an item called stone poultice. Follow the directions and it should at least make the grease spots less noticeable, and may even remove them altogether.

Q:What type of sealer should I use for this stone? I also need to know how to clean it. Anytime any type of food or grease touches it, it stains and now there are little small dots all over the stone. I need to clean it first and seal it. Thanks

A: Let it sit for a couple of days so the moisture can gas off. If you seal or grout you will greatly increase the time frame the moisture will off gas. Do not seal or grout until the stain is gone

A: So we had the same thing happen. I took a piece of scrap tile and replicated the problem. Experimented with several possible solutions to find that steel wool and some elbow grease takes it right off. I would seal tile before grouting.

A: sealing will usually make the color more vibrant. If you add a couple of coats of sealer it could put on a slight shine. If the sealer is a high gloss you will add alot of shine.
