I advise reaching out to your local home improvement or hardware store for more information about a clear coat sealer that will work over your paint. -Lina

A:  Hi June, thank you for your question. Our Kilz Klear Primer can be used over an oil-based polyurethane coated brick fireplace so long as the surface will not come in direct contact with flames.
