        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kenny, thanks for the question. I'd recommend using our Kilz 3 Premium Primer for priming over pine knots to keep them from bleeding through to your topcoat. I'd suggest applying two coats of the primer and letting it dry for at least 12 hours before applying the paint to ensure the stains are sealed in. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:Will this work on spray foam and metal beams coated with rust preventative?
          by|May 8, 2024
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Travman, thanks for the question. We don't recommend using our products on spray foam. For the metal beams, it would depend on what type of rust preventative was applied. I'd suggest checking with the manufacturer to see if the rust preventative can be top-coated with a water-based primer. Have a great day! -Ronald

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi Yoda, thank you for your question. As it turns out, our products are not designed or intended to be submerged underwater, and that will cause the coating to fail. We recommend reaching out to your local hardware or home improvement store for more information about a marine-based coating that will work for your canoe. Have a great day! -Lina
