Q:I am not clear on what type of sink strainers to buy? What are the correct size strainers for this sink? (I do not plan on putting in a garbage disposal at this time).

(1-800-456-4537) for assistance comparing cut out dimensions and to request a free of charge copy of the cut out to verify the Vault sink, model 3838-1-NA will work for your existing opening.       Q:Does this sink come with any strainers? Are the holes covered in any way? If not, which models of strainers will fit this sink?

      A:  Hello, my name is Heather with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy assist you with your sink question. Model K-3838-1-NA does not come with the strainers. They would need to be purchased separately. The models of strainers that we recommend to fit with this sink are K-8801 (Duo strainer Sink drain and strainer), K-8803 (Duo strainer strainer basket) which needs to used with K-8804 (Duo strainer drain body), K-8813 (Stainless Steel Sink Drain and Strainer with tailpiece and strainer basket) or K-8814 (Stainless Steel Sink Drain and Strainer, includes the strainer basket, but less tailpiece). Finish would need to be specified at time of order Please work with your local Home Depot for pricing and availability on these products.         Q:Information states sink is NOT insulated, does this make washing & disposal operation very noisy Can the K-3838 be insulated ??

          A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the two basins on this K-3838-1-NA Vault Sink are the same sizes. As an FYI, the term "double-equal" indicates the basins are the same sizes.
