Q:Does the head lift so I can take bowl off?

Answer This Question

A:  Hi David, There is a handle that raises the bowl up to the beaters and lowers the bowl. You have to lift the bowl up off the pins to remove it from the mixer.

by|Oct 22, 2018

A:  The head does not lift - there is an arm on the left side of the mixer (you can't see it here) that you use to lower and raise that arm that you see holding the bowl. That's how you remove the bowl. By the way, I LOVE my Kitchenaid mixer. Also bought a set of pasta attachments that I use frequently- and the difference between store bought and homemade is amazing!

A:  On the bottom of the mixer is a stick on label that says: "assembled in USA". It does not indicate where the parts are made or where the parts come from.

A:  I just noticed that what appears to be same mixer is available at Costco for $269.99. 590 watt motor. It appears to have been manufactured in India. This sale price is available through Sunday and since I have to go there I will see if it is in store item also. So far it beats Amazon price hands down, so it must be what's in box difference.
