Questions and Answers for Klein Tools Loose Cable Stapler

A:  I tried to use Gardner Bender without any luck. I think this stapler is a dud.

A:  The Klein Tools model # 450-003 11/32-Inch x 19/32-Inch Insulated Staples are available in store at The Home Depot.

A:  I am using 1 size smaller than what you want for Cat6. I couldn’t find the Klein staples either so I went with Arrow T59, item # 591168. That’s the 1/4” size. I don’t have the 5/16” item number, but that info should get you to what you need.

A:  Home Depot no longer carries the staples in our local stores. They only carry the staple gun. Current order time shipping to the store is 4 Days, shipping to my home is 4 to 7 days. Returning gun and getting the Cable Boss.

A:  The paperwork with the stapler and the label on the side of the stapler only states three Klein part numbers for staples, so you might have to use only those three types of staples. See picture.

A:  Absolutely, works great on Romex, get the KLEIN 19/32" INSULATED STAPLES if you can find them, available at stores only. I called Klein about the limited quantities and they are working on getting more to the stores.

A:  Klein Tools 450-100 Loose Cable Stapler uses Klein Tools brand staples, which are currently available in store at Home Depot.

A:  The answer from Klein about the staples being available in stores is not true (yet) as far as I can tell. HD Customer Support tells me that I have to get them from Klein through a distributor (The stapler is a HD only item for now - not available from other distributors). Klein Customer Support told me today (2/18) that the staples are not released for sale yet ("still in testing"). The Stapler is, for now, still just a $40 paper weight.

A:  Found the staples from Klein at Home Depot. GB staples work in this gun as well as the Arrow.

A:  The previous answer to this question was incorrect. This stapler requires a specific staple from Klein - not generic staples as indicated in the answer. According to Klein this product is sold only by Home Depot (a new product trial). Klein has the staples but cannot sell them - only Home Depot can, but apparently Home Depot doesn't have them to sell. You are selling a product that cannot be used because there is no way to obtain the necessary staples. I bought two (one for a gift and one for myself). Please advise.

A:  Supplementing previous answer... The link in the previous answer goes to an HD page that has easily over 100 types of staples - the vast majority of which are not for a cable stapler. The sales associate at HD was not able to point me to other brands of staples for the Klein stapler. I called Klein and they did not offer that GB or other brands of staples for cable staplers would work. Subsequent answer says that GB staples work... I'm going to try them. Hope I have the same result.

A:  Hi Luis, this stapler can use 4 sizes of staples (1/4 in., 5/16 in., 19/32 in. and 31/64 in.). We do not offer staples for this particular brand however you can use any brand staples with those sizes. I have included a link below for staple options.
