Q:Can the door and jamb be trimmed down about an inch at the bottom? Unfortunately, our opening is 81 inches and we cannot go higher. I understand this would void the warranty.

A:  Hi Geni. The door jamb cannot be trimmed down, however the door itself can. You are able to trim 1/2" from the sides & top of the door, and 1" from the bottom.

    Q:Hi. Can the unfinished door be stained rather than painted? If so, is there a recommended type or brand of stain? Would I need to sand the door first or do any other prep? Ty!

    A:  This door is recommended to be stained. Any wood stain brand will work, the products we use are all minwax brand.
