A: I would say no - don't use it on a porous surface. Really, any paint you get on slate is likely to leave a permanent discoloration, but instead of this use one of the "Pro" versions of GoofOff that are solvent-based. You will also want a nylon bristle brush.

A: No I would not recommend this product for any use! It does not meet the product directions and won't even clean up "fresh" paint.

A: Hi Ben, thank you for reaching out! Our Krud Kutter Latex Paint Remover can be used to remove latex paint from textured or popcorn ceilings. For the best results, we recommend allowing the remover to work on the surface for 3-5 minutes, or until the paint loosens from the surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2

A: Some popcorn ceilings have asbestos in them. After talking to a government official about it she said just keep them painted and they are pretty safe. So if you have an older ceiling have it checked before trying to remove the popcorn ceiling.
