A:  Hi. The tail pipe of the drain is made of metal.

A:  It's all metal. Photo is a cutaway to show stopper inside drain.

A:  It's not the right fit. You will get calcium build up. Maybe you needed 1 1/2inch or the drain pipe needs to be shortened so it seats all the way.

A:  You can remove the top silicone gasket and replace it with some plumber's putty. That sometimes will lower the drain a little bit more into the sink. Other wise you can try a 1-1/2" drain which is smaller and should work as well. Please contact our customer service at support@luxierusa.com if you need more information about the drain.

A:  With gasket you shouldn't need putty

A:  Hi, The putty can go between the gasket and the bottom of the sink to seal up any small gaps. Best, Luxier

A:  Yes. This drain will fit the sink.

A:  Hi, The drain can be cleaned by unscrewing the top cap counter-clockwise. Once the cap is off you will have access to the center of the drain. - Luxier.

A:  you can't. Unscrew the pushup and take off to access inside pipe.

A:  The overflow is the cut out on the drain body. It allows overflowed water to drain through the opening down the drain. If the sink you have as an overflow hole near the top edge of the sink, then you will need a drain with overflow.

A:  The overflow is the cutout opening on the drain body. It allows the overflow water to flow down the drain. You do not need to install the overflow, it is builtin to the drain. If the sink does not have an overflow hole near the top edge then you do not need to have the drain with overflow. You just need to get a pop up drain without overflow.
