A:  Yes. it recommends to plug this one on a 120v wall outlet.

A:  This question was answered offline, only to the questioner. I?m suggesting a solution to anyone intrigued by the query. Place your hand about 6 inches or so in front of the fan output. If there is airflow, you will be able to feel it.

A:  The control is a stepper switch, each tap gives next choice on the menu. AFAIK smart plugs only turn current to the device on/off. So ?NO? for full control. ON/OFF: stepper electrical ?NO?; mechanical ?YES?? Buy one (returnable) and let us know ?

A:  I tend not to plug in/out I leave plug on .. press it on and then press off and wait for it to power off. 15 min later, unplug

A:  I do not know what you mean by a smart plug, however when unpluged and repluged the power light only goes on but the heater fan does not. Has to be told what to do by the top large button i.e one hour, high and low. You could call Lasko cust. service at 1-800233-0268 for more info. they may even have one that could meet your needs or this one since I am not the most modern person. . It is a great little fan for the heat that it gives off. Hope this helped.
