Q:My old hinges only have 2 screw holes inside, would I be able to use these and just leave the third hole empty? Everything else lines up sizewise.

A: Yes, I just fill in the extra holes. You should try and get the same ones you have. My cabinets are light weight, if you have new cabinets, you need to use the ones that are there.

A: Yes, that would work.

A: Just bring one of the old hinges with you and ask one of the helpful people there. I'm sure they will be able help you.
by|Dec 31, 2022
A: Yes, but you may have better results by also using the 3rd hole as long as the cabinet door is thick enough to support the screw. It will provide added stability

A: The treaded portion of the screw that goes into the cabinet is 1/2 inch. So it will go into the cabinet just a tiny tiny bit less than 1/2 inch.

Q:Will these work on doors 13/16" thick?

Answer This Question
A: Yes, we used them on 3/4" doors, work fine.
by|May 12, 2022
A: Yes. The door flange on the hinge secures to the back of the door, and the door closes up against the cabinet facing (overlapping the opening slightly), so the thickness of the door is largely irrelevant.
The doors I made that I used the hinges on were 12/16 (¾) and they could easily have been as much as ¼ inch thicker and worked fine.
